Washington Bigfoot with Ryan Leisinger

1975 Washington State Atlas featuring bigfoot

Part of Lacey Museum’s Sasquatch Revealed

Every collection of reported Bigfoot sightings has Washington State leading the nation in total number of reports. In addition to sightings, Bigfoot culture and Washington have a rich history, just as the forests and mountains have provided cover for Bigfoot that has interested naturalist John Muir, Governor Dan Evans, countless Bigfoot researchers and the occasional Bigfoot attack survivor. Washington boosts a dozen Bigfoot themed conferences and public museum exhibits a year, county ordinances protecting Bigfoot, and has flirted with Bigfoot-themed legislation in Olympia. Join Ryan Leisinger, creator of WashingtonBigfoot.com, as he weaves the tale of the historic and cultural importance of Bigfoot in Washington State.

  1. I had many sightings and heard tree knocks from August thru January
Heard them roar at barking dogs. I know what black bear sounds like this wasn’t a bear at that time the bears was hibernating.

  2. I am a guy with two science degrees. I have trekked the forests of Alaska, Oregon, Wyoming, South Dakota, Georgia, Panama, and Costa Rica. The sasquatch hominin is an intelligent and reclusive creature. I have either seen the sasquatch or have seen physical evidence of him/her in all of the above locations. Like homo sapiens, the sasquatch has mild-mannered or aggressive members of their respective species. The juveniles are the most daring of the species and they may follow you about your forest tasks and leave piles of feces in your advance or vigorously shake trees after you have passed. When you arrive in a forested area that may be occupied by the sasquatch, I recommend that you fire a couple rounds from your large caliber revolver to announce your presence and that you can defend yourself. I have never been bothered or threatened by the sasquatch but then I have had but 4 close up observations of them. As with all forest creatures that exercise their predator traits they are NOT to be assumed to be ‘gentle forest giants’.
