Washington State Bill To Make Sasquatch Official

Washington State Senate bill 5816 was introduced earlier this week by Anne Rivers of the 18th District. If the bill becomes law, it would make Sasquatch the official cryptid on Washington State. The bill would ‘Designates the species of cryptid commonly called “Sasquatch” or “Bigfoot” or “Forest Yeti” as the official cryptid of the state.” adding to Washington’s State bird, the American Goldfinch, and the Olympic marmot as the state mammal.

The bill recognizes “immeasurable contributions to Washington state’s cultural heritage and ecosystem. The state of Washington further recognizes the importance of preserving the legacy of Sasquatch.”

WashingtonBigfoot.com supports this legislature and urges Washington State residents to contact their representatives to express their support.

  1. My daughter just told me that her college anthropology teacher & his wife saw Bigfoot cross the river near big four mountain in the ice caves area , about eight years ago . The Bigfoot they saw was somewhere between 8 & 10 feet tall had very dark brown/almost black hair & walked easily across the river .

  2. He exists. The hair, dermographics, sightings, tracks, photos and videos are real. The argument that the DNA has not proved it are the result of ignorance on the part of those who do not understand that confirmation requires comparison with a known member of any specie. The claim that there have been no skeletons again shows ignorance of the fact that intact skeletons of chimps are unknown in the wild. I sincerely hope the he is protected and that we never capture them. We can’t even manage our own people.
