Washington Bigfoot Bills Are Back

Back for the 2019 Washington State Legislative Session are two Bigfoot Bills, Senate Bill 5611 and 5615.

Senate Bill 5611 is the return of the Bill to create Bigfoot themed specialty license plates. The Bill didn’t make it out of the Transportation Committee last session, when Committee Chair Sam Hunt failed to read the bill and ask for a recommendation by the Committee. I believe 5611 has good chance of making it out of Committee and to to the Senate Floor for a vote this session. We are currently watching for when the Bill will be brought in front of the Transportation Committee. The Bill would help the WA State Parks Service, as funding from the Specialty Plates would go to the Parks Service. The Bill is sponsored by Senators Rivers, Warnick, Wilson, Padden, Zeiger, Palumbo and Kuderer.

Senate Bill 5615, sponsored by Senators Rivers, Palumbo, Randall and Wellman, looks to make Sasquatch the official cryptid or crypto-animal of Washington.
