METALINE FALLS BIGFOOT FESTIVAL IS ALMOST HERE!
Here's what been happening behind the scenes.
New features have been added to the first annual Metaline Falls Bigfoot Festival in Washington State which will help more people enjoy this event, even from afar. This is a weekend all about humanoid cryptids on June 19 and 20, 2021.
An option to participate virtually in the Metaline Falls Bigfoot 5K is a new feature of the event. Attending virtually will still give you all the official race swag such as the hunter green, long-sleeve tech material race T-shirt with the race logo in white, custom race bib, and a finisher medal or placement medal for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in two categories, as appropriate.
The presentations by researchers and TV personalities at the historic Cuter Theatre sold out within a month. Not wanting to deprive people of the research involved, the event organizers have arranged to sell live-streaming tickets for the weekend and subsequent viewing of the recordings. Get your livestreaming tickets at mfbigfoot.com/live. Presenters on the stage are currently listed as Adam Davies (MC for the weekend), Ken Gerhard, Larry “Beans” Baxter, Seth Bredlove, Kevin Llyewellan, Dr Robert Alley, JC Williams, Igor Burtsev from Russia, Shane Corson, Tom Sewid, Russell Accord, Will Ulmer, and Thom Cantrall. Bob Gimlin will make a special guest appearance. For event goers traveling to the area, the field experts will be at the outdoor FanMeet and book signing area along with Wayne Stapleton and Georges Hemingway of HULU Sasquatch, Cleve Lorton with accounts of regional sightings, Erich Mestriner with the infamous Cripplefoot castings, plus other special guests.
Over ten films are in the running for the NuVu Bigfoot Film Festival and are currently in the hands of the judges. Viewing of these productions and of the world premiere of Sullivan Creek Sasquatch is free. DVD pre-sales are already taking place. Be sure to support the venue, NuVu (the independent movie theater) at the concessions counter.
Also free to access is the vendor mall with over 60 booths from as far away as Illinois and Utah. While shoppers procure their treasures and souvenirs (such as sasquatch poo soap), live music and food offerings will entertain the senses. The American Legion Post #144 will welcome visitors and the field next door will house public outreach booths by various first responders and law enforcement. The Cutter Theatre will also have food and Bigfoot themed snacks available.
Several businesses around the county are getting involved in the fun. Plaza Pizza has created a Bigfoot footprint pizza. Hwy 31 Grind has a Bigfoot themed photo cutout board. Both are in Ione. Ravens Espresso in Usk has a new, 8’ Sasquatch statue. Mellaney’s Bakery, also in Usk, has one of the largest hamburger sandwiches you will ever see. As more businesses join in, you will find them at mfbigfoot.com/biz.
Lodging is becoming sparse in the northern end of Pend Oreille County and participants have said they are booking in Idaho for the weekend. A list of available rooms, RV spots, and campgrounds are listed at mfbigfoot.com/stay. Right now, the RV parks still have room for RVs and tent camping.

Thanks for all you do Ryan..
The Metalline Falls conference was a great success, and I have a new book to share , “Brushes with Bigfoot” which details a number of behaviors attributed to Sasquatches in Alaska, BC and here in WA..I’m glad to be back living in WA after 26 years in Alaska, and am investigating tracks in the Nisqually delta and watershed..
Meetups for trips to be scheduled at the Starbucks at College and Pacific in Lacey..
