Bigfoot was active in Washington in 2025.
As 2024 wrapped up in its final moments, Bigfoot was featured in the lights over the Space Needle.
Bigfoot Field Research Organizations (BFRO) added multiple reports from multiple counties to the total number documented in the BFRO public list for Washington State. WA State now has 731 total reports, up from 713 in 2023 and 701 from 2022 and 2021. 2020 had an increase of 12 and 2019 an increase of 22.
Chelan, Jefferson, Lewis, Mason, Pierce, and Yakima Counties all added reports to the BFRO collection of reports. These are the reports from BFRO’s confirmed data, when BFRO assigns a Bigfoot researcher to investigate and determine if they want to add the report to this list. This is only a subset of all the reports that BFRO receives and only a fraction of all the Bigfoot reports from Washington State.
Events and conferences were active as well, with the ussual suspects in Kelso, Metaline Falls, and Ocean Shores. New events like PNW Wild and townhalls in Packwood.
The Washington State Bigfoot Facebook Group went over 5000 members in 2025, but often felt like it was dominated by AI generated Bigfoot pictures and ads for other people’s podcasts and videos.
Two notable film releases in Washington State for Bigfoot films, including Small Town Monster’s The Siege of Ape Canyon, which I was able to attend the premier on May 22nd, 2025 at the Kiggins Theater in Vancouver, WA and Dave Paulides’ American Sasquatch Premiere Nov 28th in Tacoma.
