Five individuals were out target shooting on March 20th, 2012, near Rainier Washington in Thurston County, when they came across a large biped leaving a blackberry patch. Even though they were about 500 yards from the creature, they were able to see that it was covered in dark fur, with long hair on its head coming down to its broad shoulders. They estimated the creature was eight and a half feet tall. Several hoots and knocking sounds were heard after the creature fled into a nearby field.
The sighting was reported on the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO) as case #34710 which was followed up by BFRO Investigator Scott Taylor.
Taylor was able to find the exact location described and closed his report with the statement:
They got a very good look at the creature. Although it was almost 500 yards away, it was large enough to stand out and be seen clearly. Added to this is the report of the wood knocks and the hooting. With five witnesses seeing the creature, I have no doubt that this was a sasquatch.

A previous post dug a bit into the idea that the local bigfoot that lived around Mt. St. Helens might have may have been killed in the 1980 eruption, well a thread on FaceBook took it a bit further, with information about multiple reports of sightings of bigfoot bodies being removed by those reacting to the disaster.
The first account is from Who’s Watching You?: An Exploration of the Bigfoot Phenomenon in the Pacific Northwest by Linda Coil Suchy.
…was placed in charge of one pile of dead animals in particular. The pile was covered and no one was allowed to come near it. Armed U.S. National Guard personnel were guarding this pile. On the day that they were going to move this group of bodies, [Bradshaw] was standing very close to the pile and was told to keep his mouth closed about what we was to witness.
When the tarps were removed, he was amazed to see that the bodies were those of sasquatch. Some badly burned, and some not. They were placed in a large net and lifted into the back of a truck, which was then tarped over.
Freedom on Information Acts were filed to see if there was an official report, the response was quite predictable and uninformative.
“there were no documented reports of big foot [sic] or sasquatch carcasses and there were no projects to attempt to locate and/or recover any bodies.”
Another report, also from the same book claims a man in Spokane saw a large, double rotor helicopter (most likely an Army Chinook) fly overhead at between 100 to 150 feet. The helecopter was carrying a cargo net that contained at least three dead Bigfoot bodies. The bodies were described as hairy, grey ash coated arms and legs.
Well that is weird.
I originally saw a comment on a Bigfoot FaceBook Group concerning a sighting in WA State. I left a comment with the WashingtonBigfoot url and got this report within a day.
on 16 June 2017 at approximately 7:30 p.m.. I was helping my son move from a rental house in the forest area west of Morton, south of the Tilton river. As we were loading the pick up truck I observed a figure standing approximately 40 feet away from us in the trees watching us. I could see that it was a black silhouette approximately 9 feet tall. I could see the head and the head appeared to have a no neck look. I could see the arms down to its side away from the body. I could see no legs below the waist area due to the brush. It was there for several minutes, then appeared to leave. But I seen where it looked like it turned sideways against the trees. I went out there the next day at the same time and looked in the same area I had a clear view through the trees for about 60 feet back. With no obstructions. I could not see that far back when I seen the bigfoot.
The area west of Morton is connected to part of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. The area is also known for a bigfoot sighting in the early 90’s by Annette Crews.
A man who claims to be a former Washington State Trooper claims he has been feeding a group of Bigfoot in the North Cascades since 2009. Menu items have included apples, carrots, beef jerky, cookies and candy bars.
He describes them as 6 to 7 feet tall and up to 500 pounds.
“I think they may be a primitive human species that we know very little about. They appear to me very intelligent.”
The ‘North Cascades’ may be a reference to the North Cascades National Park. The park is a vast wilderness of conifer-clad mountains, glaciers and lakes. The North Cascades Highway passes viewpoints and leads to trails such as the steep Thunder Creek Trail. Boats dot Ross Lake. The remote community of Stehekin lies at the northern tip of deep Lake Chelan. The park shelters grizzly bears and gray wolves, plus more than 200 bird species. The park is located in portions of Whatcom, Skagit, and Chelan counties.
Classic from 2014 of a trail cam picture of an 8 foot bigfoot from Mossy Rock in Lewis County.
“The backstory on the trail cam, is the guy who showed me had been down at his friends house in mossyrock, out in the backwoods of his property, DEEP in the woods, and they had heard a screaming/howling noise that they could not say was a cougar or coyote, bear, etc.. They wanted to figure out what it was. So they set up motion sensitive trail cameras to capture it. And upon checking them this morning, this is what he found.
It’s an amazing photo, it makes every other image I’ve seen look laughable in comparison. I get really pissed when people try to argue it’s authenticity.. These guys didnt even know how to send the picture from their computer to their phone, they dont know what photoshop is.”
